This is under the direction of Diane Ventura who is suppose to show a bonus fi lm titled “Mulat” (Awaken) side by side TheRapist and scheduled its release on November 2.
“Mulat” gave Direk Diane a Best Director citation in the International Film Festival Manhattan in New York and Best Actor award to Jake Cuenca in Brazil World Cinema Festival.
Solar Films is the local distributor of TheRapist, and stipulated in the letter received from the MTRCB says that “language and scenes depicting sexual activity” was the reason why the film was disapproved for public viewing. TheRapist is played by Cherie Gil who’s the therapist while Marco Morales is the client.
Direk Diane defended her movie. saying…
“I understand this movie could be misconstrued as condoning the vile act of rape. But in this fi lm, I’m not talking about the jump-out-of-the-bushes assault of a helpless victim. I’m talking about certain situations wherein a girl actually has the power and capability to get herself out of a possibly precarious situation where she feels uncomfortable and unsettled.
“It’s about female empowerment and not allowing yourself to be put in situations that you do not want to be in, or get yourself in a position where your decision-making capabilities are vitiated.
“Rape is a detestable crime. That is why this fi lm is important. It tells us that though, we have no control over other people’s actions and moral values, we have control of ourselves and having awareness of this fact helps us in becoming more pro-active. This way, we have the power not to put ourselves in a helpless predicament.”

UNTIL NOW the break up of Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino is being talked about.
According to reports it looks like Lovie was the one who dumped Rocco, contrary to other news that came out.
However, Lovi cleared the issue…..
“No, it’s not that…maybe he’s also forgetting the beauty that it’s gonna give us.
“Being away from each other, parang it’s hard to explain it because I need to fi gure it out, too.
“I don’t wanna be unfair. There’s beauty in separation, and just to keep us sane, too.
“We’ll never know what will happen in the future.
“Some people forget there’s beauty in separation, ang dami mo sigurong madi-discover sa sarili mo.”
Did she not feel awkward that she turned out to be the bad girl in their split up?
“I don’t feel bad and I don’t have guilt or anything.
“Actually, the problem is, eto na, people have comments na papalit-palit ng lalaki.
“People will always have to say something about anybody.
“You discover things with someone, iba-ibang tao… it’s not like that, e. “It’s not you’re changing or anything.”
So, hindi nga siya naniniwala sa forever?
There are rumors that Sheena Halili, Rocco’s ex rejoiced upon learning that it was Lovie who dumped Rocco.Has she heard of this?
“I don’t know… parang I can’t comment on that.
“Their story is their story, ever since naman I never asked.
“For me, always the past is the past.”
Is love not enough?
“I believe I can fly,
“Well, hindi naman sa love is not enough.
“I felt it and I believe in it and I will always.
“But once you end the relationship, you never stop loving the person naman.”
Who is Chris Johnson, a French guy who occupies much space in Lovi’s Instagram account?
But Lovi insists that she is very much single.
I’m so lazy…
I’m really honest when I say that I’m so lazy.
“I don’t wanna deal, parang I’m working so hard, I’m taking care of myself.
“Iniisip ko muna talaga yung sarili ko, pamilya ko. Yun muna talaga ang priorities ko.
“I’m so lazy, there are a few hours in a day and I just can… barely remove my make-up, have a few hours of sleep.
“I’m just so preoccupied, so wala talaga.”
It seems that the process of moving on is too easy for Lovi…
“I just keep myself busy, yun talaga ang ginagawa ko.
“All I do is work talaga… because I don’t want to keep thinking or dwelling into something.
“It’s nice if you just fi gure out things on your own.”
Is she that strong?
“When I allow it to happen, pero siguro kasi, ang dami ko nang pinagdaanan.
“Big factor yung pagkawala ng dad ko (he late Fernando Poe Jr.).
“Parang it made me stronger than before talaga.”
But in the end she also admitted…
“Of course, I get weak also, I’m weak also.”
