ANGELES CITY – A man was shot in the face on Sunday night as two suspects forcibly took his motorcyle in a dark area at Marisol Subd., Barangay Ninoy Aquino, here.
Senior Supt. Danilo Bautista, city police director, identified the victim as Philip Duhay Lungsod Tayag of this city. He survived the attack of the two suspects riding in tandem on board a motorcycle.
Bautista disclosed that Tayag was confined at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) hospital after being shot by the suspects who escaped after the incident and remained at large.
“The victim is out of danger,” said Bautista, who is still waiting for some details of the investigation.
Bautista said they are still verifying reports if Tayag was with a girlfriend when shot at. His motorcycle was taken along Prinston St., Marisol Subd.
Asked for his comments, Mayor Edgardo “Ed” Pamintuan said “we’ll get the culprit, hot PNP pursuit on-going.”
