IBA, Zambales – A “most wanted” man in Zambales for acts of lasciviousness, rape, and kidnapping was arrested Thursday in Malolos, Bulacan.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño said Anthony Arandilla y Lego, 39, resident of Barangay Antipolo, San Antonio, Zambales was apprehended by virtue of a standing warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Marifi P. Chua of RTC-3 Branch 13, Iba, Zambales for acts of lasciviousness in Criminal Case No. RTC-10974-I with bail fixed in the amount of P12,000; Criminal Case No. RTC-10975-I for rape with no bail recommended.
Arandilla was also served a warrant of arrest for Criminal Case Nos. 4385 and 4386 for kidnapping and failure to return minor and violation of Section 5 of RA 9262 issued by Judge Paul R Attola of RTC-2 Branch 30, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya with fixed bail of P24,000 for CC-4386, and no bail recommended for CC-4385.
report said that on May 14, 2017 at about 1:56 a.m., the suspect sexually molested a 15-year-old girl who happened to be his niece at Barangay Antipolo, San Antonio, Zambales.
The suspect is listed as “Most Wanted Person, Provincial Level, Rank Number 2 Sibat Target Phase 2 Municipal Level, and Rank Number 3 Most Wanted Person Municipal Level,” police said.
Joint elements of Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU3), Zambales police provincial intelligence unit, Maritime Police Station-Olongapo City, Malolos Municipal Police Station, Bulacan Provincial Police Office, Palauig Municipal Police Station and SBMA Law Enforcement Department effected the arrest of Arandilla at Camella Homes, Barangay Longos, Malolos, Bulacan.
“Our continuous manhunt operations remain enthusiastic, unrelenting in all its anti-crime drive in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic. I commend the operating troops for a job well done and further state that this arrested wanted person will now face prosecution and be made answerable for his crime,” said Cardiño.
