MNTC vice president for marketing Grace Ayento noted that the queue of vehicles at the Bocaue toll plaza has continued to get longer especially during long weekends despite its 25 booths. Unless more booths are added, worse could happen in the coming holidays, she added.
Ayento said the MNTC has allocated P206 million for the construction of the additional toll booths so that the total booths at the Bocuau exit would total 33 by All Saints’ Day when Filipino families go to the provinces to visit burial sites of their relatives.
“The pathway will also be widened at the curve towards the Bocaue toll booths towards the northbound lane where concrete barriers are to be put in place,” she added.
