She wakes up in the middle of the night to feed Baby Girl, she cooks breakfast early morning, while irons Dad’s uniform then prepares Kuya’s lunch, cleans the house, goes to work, reads bed time stories and the unconditional-love-list continues.
Admit it, everything is great because of Mom! It may be a 24/7 (or more) job but motherhood is not always all work and no play. It’s also “me” time or work-free quality time with family.
Last Mother’s Day, Hotel Stotsenberg Clark paid tribute and gave mom a special treat to “Mommy-rrific” Lunch Buffet.
The hotel’s sweet gesture of modifying Twist Café, from a clear cut restaurant café located at the hotel lobby, into a simple yet elegant restaurant buffet setting, with splashes of gold color accent and red flowers, gave us, Mommy guests, the grandest welcome and cozy ambience.
“We know mother’s day is a special occasion that’s why we prepared only the best food that we can offer.
Menu is a mixture of continental/Chinese and Filipino cuisine, like for soup we have Chicken and Corn soup which is a Chinese origin using Cantonese corn and for the curving we have Roast Whole Pork Belly with lechon sauce.
So it’s really a special food choices for this extra special occasion”, reveals Executive Chef Cayetano A. Tuanquin. Food was excellent! Honestly, I’ve eaten in Hotel Stotsenberg once or twice before but this particular buffet was different and tasteful.
I don’t know why but I kept coming back at the buffet for another round of Chicken Fajitas, a Mexican specialty served with chicken wrapped in soft tortilla and topped with guacamole, tomato salsa, sour cream and grated cheese, Spanish Cocido, a mixed pork, beef and chicken stew served with fresh tomato sauce, and Penne Pesto, cooked penne pasta tossed with pesto sauce made from fresh basil, garlic, cheese and olive oil.
Mom’s favorite romantic songs played all along by the hotel‘s very own lounge singer and pianist, which further gave a laid back and relaxing feel.
Director of Sales and Marketing Lou Gorospe shares, “We really want this event to give mom a different experience, to loosen up, forget the bustle and hustle, just be here enjoy the food and refreshing ambiance.
In Hotel Stotsenberg we always think more of what we can give, offer or serve to our guests and not so much of what we can get or benefit from, it’s beyond the conventional way”.
True enough everything went smooth and easy, no pressure, no stress, just blissful and peaceful; taking pleasure in the quality time with my hubby and two boys while eating finest food was merely terrific!
