BALANGA CITY — A state-of-the-art mobile field hospital was assembled at the compound of the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) hereto serve as holding area for patients suspected of being infected with the coronavirus disease.
Gov. Albert Garcia on Sunday said the portable medical facility known as Blu-Med Medical Shelterwas a response of the provincial government to the pandemic the province is facing.
The governor said the field tent hospital is transferrable and can serve as isolation center for patients confirmed as Covid–19 cases.
The tent has a negative pressure capability with a capacity of 20 beds.
“Magtiwala kayo na patuloy ang pagsasagawa ng inyong pamahalaan ng aksiyon upang mapangalagaan ang bawat isa at malagpasan natin ang matinding pagsubok na ito,” Garcia said.
Meanwhile, as of 6 p.m. Sunday, the Provincial Health Office announced that the number of confirmed Covid–19 cases rose to 81 after a 52-year–old male from Orani town was tested positive of the virus.
Of this number, 15 recovered while four died.
