BALANGA City: Three elegant young ladies among 12 gorgeous candidates for the Binibining Bataan 2024 got the crowns in a simple but colorful and memorable coronation night held at the beautifully- decorated filled Bataan People’s Center here Saturday night.
Bb. Mariveles Jefferleen Infante, candidate No. 2, became the title holder after being chosen as Bb. Bataan for Power of Purpose, followed by Bb. Samal Monique Angelika Santos (No. 12) as Bb. Bataan for Ecotourism and Bb. Orion Jowhie Ailu Mercon Raymundo (No. 11) as Bb. Bataan for Culture and the Arts.
The candidates represented the 11 towns and one city in Bataan comprising of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Balanga City, Pilar, Orion, Limay, Mariveles, Bagac and Morong.
The big center roared as supporters cheered heavily every time their candidates were introduced or walked the stage in different stunning attires.
The ladies paraded in casual wear, swimsuit and long gown and hurdled questions from a panel of judges, mostly former beauty queens from Bataan.
The pageant is a project of the Bataan Tourism Council Foundation, Inc. chaired by Isabel Garcia, wife of Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia 3rd, with Vicky Garcia, the governor’s widowed mother, as adviser.
Witnessing the event were Governor Garcia, 2nd district Rep. Albert Garcia, 3rd district Congresswoman Gila Garcia, Ist district Cong. Geraldine Roman, represented by Board member Tony Roman, Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, municipal and city mayors headed by Orion Mayor Antonio Raymundo, president of Bataan League of Municipalities and other local officials.
