Michael Hong, president of Miniso Philippines, said the SM Clark store is the 23rd branch to be opened in the Philippines and among 1,800 stores worldwide.
Hong said for 2017, around 20 more stores will be opened in the country.
Miniso Philippines is the master franchise of Miniso Japan where it is present in more or less 30 countries.
“We just brought Miniso here to the local market,” Hong said, promising not only a brand but also a way of life to shoppers at the SM malls with its quality, creative and lowpriced products.
Last year, Miniso Philippines opened its first store at SM City San Lazaro, followed by outlets at SM City East Ortigas, SM City Fairview, SM City Manila, SM City Sucat, SM Southmall and SM City Baliwag.
In a statement, Miniso Philippines said with its partnership with the SM Retail Inc.,
Miniso brings fashion and leisure products ranging from creative home necessities, health and beauty, jewelry, fashion accessories, stylistic gifts, office supplies, stationery gifts, seasonal products, boutique package decoration, digital accessories and food and drinks.
Miniso was jointly founded by its chief designer Miyake Jyunya and Chinese entrepreneur Ye Guofu with three core values: quality, idea and low price.
With its headquarters in Tokyo, Miniso constantly cooperates with global environmental protection organizations and aims to provide a variety of natural and environmental friendly products to consumers as its environmental mission.
The statement further said Miniso also creates a new business style which combines fashion and leisure together.
Miniso has also partnered with SM Advantage to provide the latest reward system for its shoppers. SM Advantage entitles Miniso customers to earn points every time they shop at Miniso branches nationwide.
