HAGONOY, Bulacan —
Residents of Barangay Sagrada Familia that are affected by enhanced community quarantine received bangus or milkfish and rice in relief packs from a private fishpond owner.

Approximately 7,000 milkfish and 100 cavans of rice were being distributed by Triple 7 Aquatic Farm to 2,300 household Wednesday morning.

Each household received three pieces of milkfish weighing 500 grams each and three kilos of rice.

To avoid physical contact, residents readied their pail and buckets where to put the relief goods.

Farm manager Ravel Marcelo explained that the milkfish being distributed are local farm produce and much more nutritious instead of giving them the usual instant noodles or canned goods.

He said that their company understand the situation of the residents that are being affected by the lockdown due to Covid-19.

“Aside from Barangay Sagrada, we are planning to conduct another relief goods distribution in nearby barangays next week,” he said.

Hagonoy is a fishing municipality known for fish farming that has variety of harvests which includes milkfish, tilapia, prawns, and shrimps.
