CLARK FREEPORT — Wishes of enthusiastic little “angels” were granted Tuesday at Midori Hotel and Casino here through its annual gift-giving celebration in line with its Angels’ Dream outreach program.
Now on its fourth year, Angels’ Dream fulfilled the Christmas wishes of a thousand kids from 50 different schools and beneficiaries in Angeles and Mabalacat cities including children from the Aeta community.
Leading the gift-giving were Midori Hotel general manager Vic Chan, Midori Casino general manager Manny Aure, BBI Philippine Business Group general manager Jerry Kang and Midori Hotel and Casino vice president for legal affairs Atty. Sheryl Centeno.
Chan said Midori is granting 1,000 wishes to 1,000 children as a way of giving back to the community the bountiful blessings for the year. “We have kids with disabilities, Aeta kids, and children with special needs this year. We are granting more wishes each year,” said Chan.
During the program, Centeno also shared her warm message to the beneficiaries in behalf of the president and CEO of BB Leisure and Resort Development Corp. Dr. Irineo “Bong” Alvaro.
“Buri mi balang metung kekayu mayari king pamagaral. Buri mi potang mayari kayung magaral, maging successful kayu at buri mi akwa yu ing pangarap yu keng biye (We want each one of you to finish your studies and after you finish your studies, we want you to be successful in life and reach your dreams),” Centeno said.
Some of the beneficiaries include Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, Angeles City Elementary School Special Education (SPED), Haduan Elementary School, Marcos Village Elementary School, Macapagal Village Elementary School, Monicayo Elementary School, Sapang Bato Elementary School, and the CDC OB Pagsasarili Daycare Center among others.
To complete the Yuletide spirit during the gift-giving event, the Maestro del Musico Chorale sang their rendition of Christmas carols at the hotel lobby while mascots from Aqua Planet made a special appearance bringing more joy and gifts to the children.
The Angels’ Dream 4 is Midori Hotel and Casino’s annual gift-giving outreach program that is in partnership with The Gaming Beat Charity, Eagle Sky, Midori Casino, BBI Foundation, Aqua Planet, New Cyber Elite Security and Investigation Services, and Future Living Development and Construction Corp.
