THE FORUM CENTRAL LUZON. MCC President Michelle Aguilar-Ong, PPC President Noel Tulabut, PIA-R3 Director William Beltran, CLTV36 President Sonia Soto, GNN44 (Infomax Inc.) General Manager Benefredo Guinto, and MACJAI President Jay Pelayo IV signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to formalize partnerships for the airing of ‘The Forum Central Luzon’, an initiative to promote voters’ education campaign through a series of televised townhall assemblies featuring political aspirants for the May 2022 National and Local Elections.
MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA – Political candidates seeking elective posts for the May 2022 Elections are set to grace a series of televised townhall assemblies to present their platform of governance and political agenda through ‘The Forum Central Luzon’ (TFCL) Candidates Forum.
TFCL, a brainchild of Mabalacat City College (MCC), is an initiative to promote voters’ education campaign and to serve as an avenue to address various issues and concerns affecting the nation, especially the region.
The program, which is co-presented by the Pampanga Press Club (PPC), the Philippine Information Agency – Region III (PIA-R3), the Metro Angeles City Journalists Association, Inc. (MACJAI), CLTV36, and GNN44, is also aimed at knowing how national and local candidates in the upcoming elections intend to approach and formulate plans and programs on education, environment, business, infrastructure, and health.
“MCC and our partners in the media saw the need to fill the gap between the voting population and their May 2022 preferences. That is why we are offering the microphones of this program to all political aspirants to resonate their development agenda for the nation and the region for the next few years,” said MCC President Michelle Aguilar-Ong.
“In the same way, their engagement and performance in the program are seen to raise voters’ knowledge and awareness which will help them gauge the capabilities of these aspirants vying for the 2022 polls. It will also serve as a viable campaign platform given the pandemic scenario and government restrictions on in-person campaigning,” Aguilar-Ong added.
The Forum Central Luzon is set to air on the third week of February over MCC’s Official Facebook Page every Wednesday at 7:00 pm, which will also be simulcasted over CLTV36 and GNN44, being its official broadcast media partners.
The program will be hosted and moderated by veteran broadcaster-columnist Jay Pelayo IV, Legal Counsel for LGUs Atty. Tanya Lingat, and renowned academician Dr. Michael Mesa.
Meanwhile, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was recently signed by all parties comprising the TFCL body. Gracing the virtual MOA signing are MCC President Michelle Aguilar-Ong, PPC President Noel Tulabut, PIA-R3 Director William Beltran, CLTV36 President Sonia Soto, GNN44 (Infomax Inc.) General Manager Benefredo Guinto, and MACJAI President Jay Pelayo IV.
