CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The barangay elections still hang in the balance with proposals to postpone their holding in December this year, but already three new village chairmen in the city were sworn in this Monday, July 4.
Mayor Vilma B. Caluag administered the oath of office of Allan F. Patio of Barangay Dolores, Jaime Q. Capil of Barangay Calulut, and Jerwin T. Sembrano of Barangay San Nicolas.
The three replaced incumbents who were elected to higher positions in the May 9 polls, notably Patio vice Mayor Caluag herself, Capil vice city councilor Angel Wijangco, and Sembrano vice city councilor Rosemarie Calimlim.
Caluag exhorted the new officials to inspire their kabarangays and be part in the continued progress of the city. CSFP-CIO
