Mayor Pogi’s mom gets jabbed at CCA

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. accompanies his mother, Mrs. Illuminada Lazatin, 82, and sister Ma. Christina Lazatin, for persons with comorbidities priority group, in following the step-by-step procedure before receiving their first dose of vaccine at the City College of Angeles on Thursday.

Mayor Lazatin said all seniors and persons with existing health conditions in Angeles City will be vaccinated as the city government ramps up its vaccination program to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In fact as of June 27,2021 under the priority group of A2/Senior Citizens in the city, 12,410 elderly received their first dose, while 262 are already fully vaccinated. For the A3/Persons with Comorbidities, 16,518 got their first dose, while 492 for the second dose.

Mayor Lazatin’s mother and sister received their assessment and screening from City Health OIC Dr. Verona Guevarra and Rural Health Physician Dr. Joy Patio, while CHO Nurse Supervisor Evelinda Mariano administered the vaccine.

The CHO reports a decrease in the number of infections with 19 new cases as of June 25, 2021. There are currently 292 active cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,445, with recoveries at 5,859 and 294 deaths.
