Mayor Lazatin to grant ₱100K incentive to Barangay Mining for SGLG award

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. will award a ₱100,000 incentive to Barangay Mining, led by Captain Lester Hernandez, in recognition of its achievement in earning the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Out of 3,102 barangays in Central Luzon, Barangay Mining is among the 193 recognized for excellence in governance, transparency, and public service.

“This incentive is a token of appreciation for Barangay Mining’s hard work and commitment to good governance,” Mayor Lazatin said. “Their dedication to serving the people with integrity and efficiency reflects the high standards we uphold in Angeles City.”

Mayor Lazatin also congratulated the entire Barangay Mining team for the said recognition.

“This achievement is a testament to Barangay Mining’s unwavering commitment to public service,” Mayor Lazatin added. “We are proud of this recognition, which reflects our shared vision of good governance for Angeles City.”

The SGLGB is awarded to barangays that meet strict criteria in financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, and environmental management.

Mayor Lazatin emphasized that this recognition should inspire all barangays in Angeles City to strive for excellence in local governance and continue delivering outstanding public service to their constituents.

The incentive will be used to further improve Barangay Mining’s programs and services, ensuring continued progress and good governance in the grassroot level.
