BALANGA City- The love of a mother for her children does not end in death. This, 56-year-old businesswoman Lilia Angeles of Barangay Talisay here showed on Friday and almost daily to her son who died four years ago this coming December.
She and her husband built a mausoleum for their son that if a visitor will not look around to see other graves will feel that he is inside a typical bedroom of a small but beautiful house. The niche of her son, second of three children, is covered by a bed sheet complete with pillow and head rest.
The walls and ceiling are with beautiful decors. At one side is a small table with a smiling picture of the son and some personal belongings. Angeles’ unmarried son, a graduate from the College of Saint Benilde, suffered heart attack at 28 years old and was in coma before he was finally declared dead.
The mother visited and cared for her son not only during All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days but almost every day for four years and will continue on doing so for the rest of her life. “Masaya akong malungkot pero tanggap ko na ang nangyari sa aking anak. Kung nakikita niya ang pag-aasikasong ginagawa ko sa kanya, alam ko masayang-masaya rin siya,” Angeles said.
