CLARK FREEPORT — All five Marriott Hotels in the Philippines have once again come together in a virtual celebration for its simultaneous Christmas tree lighting event via Facebook live on Thursday.
Clark Marriott Hotel, Manila Marriott Hotel, Sheraton Manila Hotel, Sheraton Manila Bay, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo welcomed the festive season led by Marriott International cluster general manager Bruce Winton, Clark Marriott Hotel general manager Goeran Soelter, Sheraton Manila Hotel general manager Anna Vergara, Sheraton Manila Bay general manager Richard Masselin, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo sales director Joy Alonte. The virtual event was also hosted by celebrity and TV host KC Montero.
In true spirit of giving, Marriott Philippines hotels continue to give back to the community as Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo came out with Charity Hamper – a plush robe and towel set with a sustainable tote bag for sale. The proceeds from this initiative will help support Save the Children Philippines’ Project ARAL (Access to Resources for Alternative Learning), a program to help children from low income families and those with disabilities to access alternative learning platforms.
Courtyard Iloilo has partnered with SOS Children’s Village and opened their doors as a drop off point for donations for more than 100 children in the community. Sheraton Manila Bay partnered with World Wide Fund where you get to adopt its signature Panda Plushie for every purchase of their Sheraton Luxury Hamper and support the organization’s nature conservation projects. They also have Plantable Cards of Care embedded with seed in which all the proceeds will go to Barangay 699 Children Fund and Aurora Quezon Elementary School, as well as a tree-planting project where donations go to their reforestation and biodiversity efforts dubbed Sheraton CommuniTree.
Clark Marriott Hotel is also holding its annual Run to Give event. A virtual charity run that aims to raise funds for the Marriott Associate Welfare Fund and the Save the Children Philippines from October 25 to December 3.
