IBA, Zambales – A man wanted for rape here was arrested as the provincial police conducted simultaneous manhunt operations against persons wanted by the law.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño, said joint elements of the Sta Cruz and Iba police stations, the provincial intelligence unit, and the 1st provincial mobile force company launched the operations at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday at Purok 1 Barangay San Agustin and arrested suspect Danilo Mayo y Millena, 30, of Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Guisguis, Sta. Cruz.
Mayo was arrested by virtue of a warrant of rrrest issued by Presiding Judge Maribel F. Mariano-Beltran of Third Judicial Region, Branch 13, iba, with CC # RTC-13732-2021-I dated June 25, 2021 for the crime of qualified rape under Article 266-A,(1)(a) in relation to Article 266-B(1) of the Revised Penal code with no bail recommended.
Report said the 13-year-old victim was sexually molested at around 10 a.m., April 27, 2021, by the suspect who happens to be her relative.
“Our continuous manhunt operations remain enthusiastic and unrelenting in all our anti-crime drives in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic,” said Cardiño, as he commended the operating troops “for a job well done.”
