In a report, this city’s police chief Supt. Roland Agohob identifi ed the victim as Christian Alvarez alias “Kulot,” a resident of Bulaon, a government-built community for victims of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1991.
The report said Alvarez was walking on a road beside the resettlement market when the suspect on board a motorcycle sidled up to him and shot him first in the head, then shot him in his torso several times even as he lay on the ground.
The suspect then placed on the fallen victim a cardboard which read “Wag tularan, holdaper ako.”
Bystanders rushed the victim to the Ricardo P. Rodriguez Hospital nearby, where he was reported to be in critical condition as of yesterday.
Agohob said police probers still had no witness to provide details that could lead to the identity of the suspect.
Investigators found at least seven spent shells of a .45 pistol at the crime scene.
