SUBIC, Zambales –A man selling an unlicensed firearm was arrested by operatives of the Subic Municipal Police Station in an entrapment operation at Sitio Masinit, Barangay San Isidro in this town on Aug. 24.
Police said suspect Rafael Sarmiento y Olivera, 56, of Sitio Masinit, was apprehended after selling a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver with defaced serial number to an undercover agent.
Aside from the gun, police confiscated from the suspect three .38 live ammunitions, two .38 empty shells, four P1,000 bills (buy-bust money), six .38 live ammos inside a quick reloader, four 12-gauge shotgun live ammos, two .38 live ammos inside a blue pouch, one Samsung cellphone, and one black sling bag.
The suspect faces charges for violation of RA 10591 before the City Prosecutors Office.
