OLONGAPO CITY–A man in possession of unlicensed firearms was arrested during the implementation of Oplan Paglalansag Omega by operatives of CIDG Zambales in Barangay Gordon Heights in this city.
Chief Inspector Edgar Q. Balagso, CIDG Zambales Provincial Officer, identified the suspect as Alexander Cayron y Uyangorin, 40, resident of Sitio Banca-Banca Barangay Gordon Heights.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of RTC Branch 74 for violation of RA10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms).
The raiding team recovered two shotguns without brand name and serial number; one airgun suspected to have been converted into a .22 rifle; 10 pieces of live ammunitions for .38 revolver and three pieces of ammunitions for shotgun.
The suspect was locked up at CIDG Zambales detention cell.
