GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija – A former policeman is now the subject of a manhunt after he allegedly shot his brother over an unpaid P400,000 loan in Barangay Manacsac here recently.
Police identified the suspect as Ayyot Ganot while the victim was his younger brother, Rino Ganot, 40, married, and lives in the same barangay.
Investigation showed that the victim and his wife Ligaya, were on board a tricycle on their way home on Sunday, and from an undisclosed place at about 6:50 a.m., the suspect confronted his brother to pay him the P400,000.
The argument reportedly turned bitter until Ayyot drew a .45 caliber pistol and shot the victim.
Police investigator said that Ligaya rushed his husband to a local hospital but the latter was declared dead-on-arrival by attending physicians.
The gunman fled toward Victoria, Tarclac on board a commandeered motorcycle after the killing.
