SUBIC, Zambales – A mall production consultant and a sales promoter were arrested for smoking marijuana while on duty at the parking lot of a shopping mall in Barangay Mangan-Vaca here.
A report reaching the office of Police Major Gilbert Diaz, head of Subic PNP, identified the suspects as Paul John Apayart y Alvares, 28, production consultant, of Block 10, Barangay Gordon Heights, Olongapo City; and Alfredo De Guzman y Yerro, 25, sales promoter, of Purok 4, Barangay Matain, Subic, Zambales.
The report said the suspects were seen on the CCTV camera installed at the parking lot at about 4:20 p.m. on Sunday in the act of smoking marijuana by mall security guards Nelson Trobia and Cristian Alferos.
Recovered from the suspects were one sling bag containing zip locked transparent plastic sachet containing “dried Cannabis sativa,” improvised tooter, disposable lighter, earphone, Huawei phone, and cash money amounting to P310 in diff erent denominations.
The suspects were turned over to Subic Municipal Police Station and are now facing charges for violation of Section11, 13 and 14, Article ll of R.A. 9165 before the Office of Provincial Prosecutor in Olongapo City.
