LUBAO, Pampanga–The local government unit here has released funds as financial assistance to victims of two recent vehicular accidents in town that left two persons dead and three others injured.
On Wednesday (July 5), Municipal Administrator Elizalde D. Bernal and Municipal Health Office staff Pamela Matias delivered the checks to the families of those who were killed in the mishaps.
A total of P50,000 in financial assistance was approved by Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab for the beneficiaries.
The officials earlier distributed the financial aids to the three survivors of the May 30 road crash that involved a car, tricycle and elf truck in Barangay Remedios here.
The victims who sustained injuries are Eleonor Diwa, 51; Alfredo Diwa, 54; and Ma. Elaine Diwa, 20, all residents of Purok 1 in Barangay Lourdes. The driver of the tricycle they were riding, identified as Mario Manuel, was not as lucky.
The victims and Manuel’s wife, Annable, each received P10,000 from the LGU.
