ANGELES CITY – “Don’t deal with fixers.”
Thus warned Land Transportation Office (LTO) district chief Aida Santiago as she led the bi-yearly clean-up of their office in barangay Sto. Domingo here on Saturday.
Santiago said they have “drastically improved” the services at their office, giving fast and efficient services to their clients averaging about 700 persons per day.
“We only experience delays when there are computer glitches,” Santiago said.
She stressed that it is “safe and rewarding” to deal with them directly.
Santiago disclosed that their office had been the second top earner among LTO offices in Central Luzon. They collected some P113 million in 2009.
“We are right on target to surpass our collection last year,” she said.
The LTO-Angeles City had collected some P112 million as of last September this year.
Santiago said their clean-up drive “was meant to boost the confidence of her team.” She added that they also submit their reports to the LTO main office. “The clean-up allow us to sort out our records.”
Santiago said the LTO in the city is one of the few branches of the agency that offers licensing, vehicle registration and enforcement. She has 17 employees, four of whom are non-organic.
