INSTEAD OF planning all the things you want to acquire and creating circumstances you want to achieve this promising year 2025 – the year of our “wood snake” friend – why not think of what to lose to smoothly gain your wants.


Lose those extra pounds you’ve been trying to shed. Aside from counting your calorie intake, check the quality of foods and drinks you are ingesting. You might be losing weight but also losing your health. Depending on your daily activities, 1,200 calories a day is a good start to slim down.

Lose your laziness. Being in bed or chair staring at your gadgets for hours, exercise instead. Exercise doesn’t only promote toned muscles, strong heart, boosts energy, enhances mood. It detoxifies the body, smoothens blood circulation in the body and a great anti-aging regimen.

Lose tardiness. Do not delay working on your goals. Organize your schedule properly, but more than that, organize your mind. Commit to your tasks deeply until goals are realized and repeat to maintain.

Lose your mind. Avoid thinking too much. Allot a quiet time where your mind could rest and just be. A walk in nature or simply staring at the sky can heighten mind peace. Make it a habit. A well-rested mind sees more, hears more, can do more, functions a lot better and catches the whispers of the higher consciousness.
Lose your destructive habits. Love and protect yourself – from yourself. Make a list of things you feel are harmful to you and yet you are still continuing them. Write the pros and cons, if you do not stop doing them. Afterwards, jot down the reasons why it is difficult to stop. What is your trigger? How can you mend it to prevent yourself from further harmful consequences of your actions? Reflect. Understand without judgement. Bring in a motivation to make it easier for you to lose unhealthy habits. It could be a loved one, a dream, or you.

Lose people. The kind of people you surround yourself with regularly, you slowly become like them. Energy is infectious just like a virus. Select the cheery, honest, kind, successful and goal-oriented ones and intentionally get infected tremendously by them.

You are the creator of your story. Make it your best creation of all.  Lose everything that bothers your rhythm and disrupts your harmony to make a space for the things you have been aspiring for. By vigilantly doing these simple acts, effortless fortune this 2025 and beyond you shall surely gain.
