BALANGA CITY — The Bataan provincial agriculture office on Wednesday opened an agritrade fair featuring the longest and biggest fruits and vegetables raised in the province.

Called “pinaka” or the most, featured were the longest “buwig” of ornamental and commercial bananas, biggest coconuts, “kamoteng kahoy,” papaya, squash, “kamote,” “ube” and “gabi” and longest string beans, ginger, “upo, “okra, chili, among others.

She said that the participants in the “pinaka” contest will be awarded prizes.

She described the ube as “pinaka-dabest.”

Ube can be harvested after 6 – 10 months of planting. Various agriculture products and equipment are on sale in the one-week agritrade fair.
