Our grandparents have pampered us before and now is our turn to spoil them back. Lolos and lolas spent their best days ever in the Grandparents Week as SM Supermalls turned them into kings and queens with jam-packed activities in the said weeklong celebration from September 1-8, 2019.

In partnership with Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of the Philippines (FSCAP) – Tarlac City Chapter, our grandpas and grandmas got their body moving in the National Grand Fit Fest, a dancercize zumba craze that is not only intended for workout but also a healthy form of fun and entertainment while dancing their hearts out. There was also “Lolo, Lola and Me Dance Challenge” where a grandparent-grandkid tandem performed in a contemporary dance showdown.
“We are grateful to SM for always being a good partner of FSCAP and for giving us elderly an avenue to showcase our skills, talent and creativity,” said Mr. Bert Macasaquit, Public Relations Officer of FSCAP.
No one’s ever too old to play and have fun, they say. So our young-at-heart grandparents also enjoyed the “Amazing Lolo and Lola Race” where they maneuvered their virtual selves to cross the finish line and won exciting prizes!

And of course, grandparent’s day will not be complete without grand deals for Lolo and Lola! There were also special dining promos, freebies and other special deals for grandparents and their families.
And to celebrate the beauty of those whose heart never grows old – our lolas – they also had a special makeover and indulged in their free makeover and pampering sessions. They indeed had fun while taking quite a few snaps!
There are so many ways to spoil our grandparents and show our deep love and respect for them, and one of the advocacies of SM Supermalls is to extend continuous love and support to our elderly as they live life to the fullest, and sometimes even living it extra.
