JAEN, Nueva Ecija — The Department of Public Works and Highways has finished the upgrading of local roads in two municipalities of Nueva Ecija’s 4th congressional district.

Nueva Ecija 2nd Engineering District chief Engr. Elpidio Trinidad said on Tuesday that  four road improvement projects were implemented in Barangays Magsalisi here and Rio Chico in Gen. Tinio town.

These projects, he said, provide residents better access to local markets and other government services, including health centers, educational institutions, public transportation, and other public utilities.

Trinidad added that these newly improved roads have a total length of 10.08 linear kilometers and cost P32.771 million, according to the agency’s information office.

They were part of the government’s Local Infrastructure Projects  or LIP under the 2021 budget.
