BALANGA City: SM City Bataan welcomed the Chinese New Year Saturday with spectacular festivities like the fascinating Lion and Dragon Dance witnessed by many visitors, including children, at its supermall in Balanga City.
The dancers hopped from one business establishment to another to the accompaniment of the hard beating of the drums.
“SM City Bataan sets the stage with a mesmerizing display of this cultural splendor in celebration of the Chinese New Year,” mall information officer Paula Gayeta said.
The Lion and Dragon Dance attracts positive energy through rhythmic dance of tradition and symbolism. The lion gracefully moves embodying courage and good fortune, while the mythical creature dragon weaves through the air symbolizing strength and prosperity, the information officer said.
