SAMAL, Bataan — The municipal government of here distributed over the weekend a total of 80 units of 32- inch LED television to public schools.
Mayor Aida Macalinao said this is in support to the Department of Education’s distant learning modalities this coming school year as face-to-face classes are suspended due to the threat posed by Covid-19.
“As we are facing this current pandemic, we are striving hard to provide support to our teachers,” the mayor said in a statement.
Macalinao added that they are also prioritizing internet connectivity to be set up in every barangay and school, as well as needed equipment in preparation for school opening this August.
Among other support committed by Macalinao are laptops for school heads and district office, photocopier machines for the schools, and other supplies requested by teachers.
“What I can promise is that I will not leave you alone because we will altogether win over this battle,” Macalinao assured.
