Formal turnover signing presided by San Pablo Elementary School principal Theresa B. de Jesus, Department of Education Superintendent May B. Eclar, CEO/President S&L Incorporated Dr. Leopoldo H. Lazatin and Telabastagan Barangay Captain Remegio de Jesus.
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – “If there is one thing very important in life it is education – because education forms future leaders.”
Thus said Councilor Jimmy Lazatin as his family and relatives donated land to the San Pablo Elementary School in Barangay Telabastagan, here. The three-term councilor is aspiring to be a vice mayor and one of his advocacies is pushing quality public education in the component city.
Dr. Leopoldo H. Lazatin, CEO-president of the S and L Inc. and cousin of Councilor Lazatin, led the simple turn over ceremonies attended by Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Superintendent Ma. Theresa Eclar, barangay leaders and school officials.
He was joined by other members of the Lazatin-Singian family, including Marco Lazatin and Dely Fernandez.
“We are humbled of what our grandparents and parents contributed in education, and dami po nila natulungan at pinatayong eskwelahan, ang mga ginagawa po namin ngayon ay konting effort lang kompara sa mga naitulong nila,” said Dr. Lazatin in his speech.
“Education is very important. Kaya kami po ay natutuwa and we are amazed of all the developments, masaya kami sa lahat ng mga alumni o nag graduate. At ngayon mga professionals na at successful,” added Lazatin.
Dr. Lazatin disclosed that one of the teachers of the San Pablo Elementary School graduated in the same school. He added that the teacher is one of the “best in San Pablo today.”
“Sa mga ganitong transformations… ako kasama ng Lazatin family ay nagagalak, natutuwa at sana ay maging inspirasyon din sa inyong mga istudyante na mag-aral ng mabuti, I hope you’ll be responsible students and aspire to be future leaders, future teachers and help other people,” said Dr. Lazatin.
Others who attended the ceremony are Telabastagan Barangay Captain Remegio De Jesus, school principal Ma. Theresa De Jesus and members of the Parents Teachers Association of San Pablo.
