“Napakagandang programa [nito], na idinala at ginagawa ng Agriculture Office, bang mitas ing yield karas king pamagtanam king kekatamung pale,” he furthered, citing the City Government’s all-out-support to them.

Moreover, Vice Mayor Vega stressed tha importance of food.

“Wag tayo magaksaya ng pagkain, bawat butil na nasasayang katumbas ng pagod ng farmers natin,” she said.

Councilor Amos Rivera, chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture, thanked the farmers for their hard work in producing rice for the city.

He also shared to the farmers his agenda for his courtesy call to Sen. Cynthia Villar this August.

Meanwhile, City Agriculturist Officer Dagdag said the Farmer Fields School Hybrid Model Farm is composed of 16 weeks training or informal schooling under a tree. The farmers aim to learn how to cultivate despite the climate change.
