ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has ordered the salary raise of 117 Contract of Service employees at the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center beginning on Feb. 1, 2023.

Among the employees to get the salary raise are the 4 Midwives who will receive ₱6,000 raise; 105 Nursing Attendants with ₱2,000 raise; and 8 Radiologic Technologists who will get ₱4,000 raise.

Mayor Lazatin bared this through his Memorandum Order No. 182, Series of 2023.

Formerly known as Ospital Ning Angeles, the RLMMC led by Dr. Froilan Canlas, has been the battleground of the city in fighting  Covid-19, providing quality healthcare and treatment to the patients contracting the virus.

To recall, all personnel in ONA exhausted all resources to give utmost health services to the patients in ONA — may it be for Covid-19 patients and other patients’ health cases.

Mayor Lazatin recognizes this, with the intent of giving back to these personnel, who relentlessly worked hard and gave maximum effort in the face of the pandemic, and up to now under the new normal set-up.

In 2020, Lazatin ordered the ₱12,000 salary raise of 111 nurses in RLMMC.

In 2021, 141 City Health volunteers assisting in the vaccination site — 43 Barangay Health Workers, 49 Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and 49 Barangay Population Officers — get their additional ₱1,000 honoraria raise.

Six RLMMC Nurses with the position of Nurse II (permanent) were also granted ₱3,093 salary raise in 2022 based on the revised Budget Circular No. 2020-4 released by Malacañang.
