ANGELES CITY – Some ₱194,000 worth of cash incentives were awarded by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. to medalists in the Batang Pinoy National Championships and Philippine National Games.
Nine student-athlete winners and five coaches received certificates of recognition and cash incentives. Gold medalists received ₱15,000 each; silver medalists ₱10,000; and ₱7,000 for bronze medalists. Each coach also received a ₱5,000-cash incentive.
Angeles City garnered four gold, six silver, and seven bronze medals during the said annual sporting event held last December 17 to 22.
Those who received their cash incentives were Reighn Sebastian Vergara, Riannah Chantelle Coleman, Gwyneth Cassandra Alexel Garcia, Hazael Cahulogan, John Kristoff Bautista, Mon Lorence Gonzales, Kade Davinci Damasco, Rued Angel Cesar Bangayan, and Girvin Cullen Nigel Garcia; coaches Bernardino Alindogan, Noli Miranda Jr., Leonel Caroc, Ana Chenly Bangayan, and Gabriel Garcia.
Lazatin vowed to continue supporting and prioritizing sports development among the youth.
