ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on April 18, 2022 awarded the certificate of lots to 113 informal settler-families in Barangay Cutud.
This is in pursuit of leaving no Angeleño homeless by providing decent and comfortable homes to indigent, displaced, and informal settler families in the city.
“Hangga’t may kakayahan po tayo ay gagawin natin ang nararapat na tumulong sa mga nangangailangan, lalo na po yung mga walang sariling tahanan,” Lazatin said.
“In this time of pandemic, ayaw natin na pati sariling masisilungan ay dagdag alalahanin pa ng ating mga kababayan. We need to ensure their proper and decent houses,” Lazatin added.
Councilor Atty. Arvin Suller, who assisted during the distribution, said this is just the first batch of beneficiaries who received the certificate of lots.
There will be another schedule of awarding for the remaining 90 families that will also undergo on-site relocation in Bagong Silang Phase, Barangay Cutud.
In fact, the 40,000 square meter lot will be divided between all 203 family-beneficiaries.
The lot, owned by Abelardo Lingat, is under the final stages of negotiation with the city government.
Also present during the distribution at the Session Hall, Sangguniang Panlungsod were Vice Mayor Vicenta “Vicky” Vega-Cabigting; City Councilors Marino Bañola, Jay Sangil, and JC Aguas, and the Local Urban Poor Affairs and Housing Office (LUPAHO).
