On the other hand, 2,959 Contract of Service (COS) employees who are qualified for the P3,000 year-end gratuity will receive theirs on December 7, 2021.

This can be gleaned from Memorandum No. 1380, Series of 2021 issued on Sept. 28, 2021 by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.

The P17,000 additional benefits for the 1,316 city government employees including the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus worth P6,000 will be released on Dec. 14; Service Recognition Incentive worth P6,000 on December 21; and the Productivity Enhancement Incentive worth P5,000 which is to be released to the 1,316 workers on Dec. 28.

This is apart from their tax-free year-end bonus, equivalent to one-month basic salary, amounting to a total of P32,542,594, which is set to be released on November 15.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. discusses the schedule of release of cash incentives for City Hall employees with Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, City Budget Officer Corazon Ayson, City Treasurer Juliet Quinsaat, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso, Supervising Administrative Officer Jenneth Baluyut from the City Accounting Office, and Flordeliza Santos, president of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA).

Upon the instructions of Mayor Lazatin on Sept. 28, 2020, the Local Finance Committee composed of the City Budget Office; City Accounting Office; and City Treasurer’s Office, immediately computed and prepared the cash incentives.

“Ito po ay bilang kapasalamatan sa dedikasyon at serbisyo ng mga manggagagawang Angeleños sa gitna ng pandemya,” Lazatin said.

“Tuloy-tuloy po ang daloy ng serbisyo dahil sakanilang kapagurang magtrabaho. Hindi ko po kakayanin ang lahat kung hindi dahil sakanila. Thank you very much for your hardwork,” Lazatin added..

“The city government has also enough funds allotted to grant the cash incentives,” he shared.
