Laus-led group wins contest in Davao City

    CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Quota International of Pampanga was adjudged as overall champion in the Quota International District Conference held at The Apo View Hotel in Davao City over the weekend.

    “We are proud and happy, especially for the members of the group,” said Pampanga Third District Board Member Monina “Monz” Laus. 

    Laus is a founding officer and member of the Quota International Pampanga.

    She said that Quota International of Pampanga bested other Quota Clubs from all over the country with their cultural dance interpretative of the folk song “Atin Kupung Singsing” at “Mekeni Pampanga”.

    The presentation competition is part of Quota International District Conference highlights held each year, it was learned.

    Laus expressed gratitude to Gov. Lilia “Baby” Pineda for her support to the success of the group. The governor is a member of Quota.

    She also said that the district conference is an annual event where Quota Clubs share “best practices” in socio-civic service to the poor and less fortunate women and children

    “We learn from each other during the conference. Then we bring home what we learn and apply it in Pampanga,” Laus said.

    Among those who were with Laus in the annual conference were Quota International Pampanga President Myra Manabat and fellow officer Malou Garbes.
