ANGELES CITY — The Lasik Surgery Clinic at Angeles University Foundation Medical Center (AUFMC) celebrated its 15th anniversary with an exhibit and free Lasik screenings on Sept. 1-3 at Marquee Mall here.
The exhibit displayed the steps involved in Lasik surgery, from initial screening to post-operative assessment and patient discharge to generate greater awareness and deeper knowledge of the process among the public.
Dr. Raoul Henson, a senior ophthalmologist at the clinic, acknowledged the initial challenges faced during the clinic’s early years. He emphasized their commitment to ethical patient care and teamwork for success and highlighted the importance of patient satisfaction.
The clinic specializes in Lasik Surgery, which can correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism, often eliminating the need for glasses or contact lenses. Another very satisfied patient of Lasik Surgery was GNN news reporter Katrina Son who expressed her gratitude to the doctors and the staff.
Dr. Pius Jonas Ocampo, another senior ophthalmologist at the clinic, emphasized the need for children to have their eyes checked regularly, especially those who spend a lot of time on electronic devices.
Satisfied Lasik patients, supporters and various groups including the “Agumans” and the Tri-Clark Volvo Triathlon Team imbued a festive atmosphere to the event.
