GUAGUA, Pampanga –
The Land Bank of the Philippines branch here stepped up additional measures to maintain social distancing protocols in the wake of clients flocking the bank to claim government cash grants.

The rush to the bank on Wednesday by mostly students and senior citizens to get their grants and social pensions resulted to long queues as early as 6 a.m.

LBP-Guagua sought permission from the building owner for the use of an adjacent vacant lot and set up tents for use as waiting area for its clients.

This, even as it coordinated with the local police for assistance in crowd management and ensure the safety of the clients.

To help facilitate over-the-counter transactions, the branch also engaged the services of an additional teller from its City of San Fernando branch.
