MANILA – Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and RA 11148 (Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay), the Ladies for a Cause initiative was officially launched at the Manila Hotel on March 31.
Founded by former senator and current Manila Hotel president Joey Lina and Philippine Red Cross secretary general Dr. Gwen Pang, Ladies for a Cause is a movement that empowers women, amplifies important causes, enhances education and awareness and fosters a community of support and action.

The initiative also provided a space where women can come together to make a real difference, in this instance towards collective efforts g to ensure the welfare of a child and mother for the first 1000 days, considered as the most important for a child’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development, as it lays the foundation for their lifelong health, well-being, and potential.

Unveiled during the March 31 event was the first ever plant-based fine dining offering in the Philippines exclusively curated for Manila Hotel by Riza Shanti Lim, holistic health specialist and CEO of Orissa Garden of Wellness at the foot of Mount Arayat in Magalang, Pampanga.
Among the favorites were fern ensalata, skewer, and eight spices vegan curry prepared by Shanti Lim assisted by the brilliant chefs headed by the exceptional chef Konrad Walter.

“These remarkable dishes are not only a feast for the eyes but also an unforgettable culinary adventure. It’s an experience that everyone, including non-vegans, should try at least once,” the holistic health guru enthused. Punto Lifestyle Team/Contributed photos
