BALER, Aurora (PIA) — About 1,500 residents from various towns in Aurora received free health and social services during the LAB for All caravan held at the Baler Convention Center, delivering vital government assistance directly to those in need.

In a message, the First Lady emphasized that the LAB for All program embodies the administration’s commitment to compassionate public service and genuine nation-building.

She also stressed the importance of bringing medical services closer to the people, noting that accessible healthcare is key to inclusive governance and improving quality of life.

Aside from medical services, beneficiaries also received ₱3,000 in cash aid through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations program, along with grocery packages and canned goods from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

It also featured agency initiatives such as the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s eGov PH program, which showcased digital public services, and the Department of Trade and Industry’s Go Negosyo mentorship program, which promotes entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities.

For his part, Aurora Governor Reynante Tolentino expressed gratitude to national government agencies, local government units, and private partners for their unified efforts in bringing essential services to communities across the province.

“LAB for All is a symbol of compassion. Through cooperation among national and local government units and the private sector, we deliver essential services to the people of Aurora,” he said.

Likewise, Romaida Concepcion of Dipaculao town, who brought her mother—a stroke survivor—for medical care, expressed her gratitude to the government, saying the assistance provided much-needed relief during a difficult time.

“Hopefully, more people like us will be reached by LAB for All. In times like this, free consultations, medicines, and tests provide real relief,” she shared.

Before the main caravan, pre-event services were held at the Dipaculao Mega Evacuation Center, where 1,250 residents received medical and laboratory services, while 65 underwent dental treatment.
