CLARK FREEPORT – A Korean national was arrested Tuesday at the Clark International Airport here after he was found possessing drugs, a gun and bullets.
In Mayantoc, Tarlac, an illiterate Aeta man was arrested and slapped with a bail worth P180,000 for carnapping.
The CIAC police station identified the Korean as Hosep Yoon who was supposed to board a plane for Incheon, Korea when examination of his baggage revealed he had two sachets of suspected shabu and a .22 pistol with five bullets.
Several other Koreans are also facing illegal drugs charges in courts in nearby Angeles City which hosts what locals call “Korea Town,” a strip hosting Korean establishments that range from supermarkets to hotels built by Korean investors.
Meanwhile in Sitio Mindanao in Barangay Poblacion Nambalan in Mayantoc, Tarlac, Aeta Jay-R Ventanilla was arrested by the police on Wednesday for carnapping.
The Mayantoc police described Ventanilla as “single, jobless, illiterate resident of Barangay Nambalan, Mayantoc.”
The report said the suspect had a .38 pistol without serial number and with three bullets when arrested.
It said Judge Rixon Garong of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 38, imposed a bail of P180,000 for his temporary liberty.
