ANGELES CITY — The city-run Kapebaluan cafe has earned ₱337,516 for the month of February 2023.
This was shared by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, who is supervising the operations of the cafe with Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer-in-Charge Irish Bonus-Llego.
Manuel said Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. is overwhelmed with joy for the continuous love and support that the cafe has been receiving, not just by the Angeleños, but also residents from other areas who take time to visit the cafe.
Mayor Lazatin has launched the Kapebaluan cafe on March 2022 to further assist local coffee farmers in their livelihood.
“Isa po ito sa ipinagmamalaki ng Angeles City, dahil ang mga kape at ibang drinks po sa Kapebaluan ay gawang atin. Matatawag po nating sariling atin,” Manuel said.
Among the favorite drinks which had a total of 355 orders in February is the coffee-based drink Vanilla Macchiato, sales of which reached ₱60,558; followed by the Matcha Cream with 270 orders, and ₱47,416 sales and Latte with 204 orders, and ₱24,440 sales.
The Sinta drink which was exclusively offered in February had a total of 149 orders, amounting to ₱28,780.
Celebrating its first anniversary this March 17, the Kapebaluan serves five varieties of drinks such as coffee (kape), non-coffee (alang kape), tea (pang marimla), signature (tatak), and barista.
Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, who is also the brainchild behind Kapebaluan, said the cafe will continue to expand its offerings, with prices that are affordable and friendly.
To recall, Calaguas and Manuel supervised the construction of the café with City Engineer Donato Dizon.
