CLARK FREEPORT — A send-off party for Miss Intercontinental Philippines Emma Mary Tiglao was hosted by her Midori Clark family on Sunday as she vies for a historic back-to-back win for the Philippines in Egypt on December 21.

Tiglao said she is more than ready to represent the Philippines on the international stage. According to Tiglao, she has been in training since June after she won the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.

“We had Q and A trainings, pasarela trainings, and personality development. We have to prepare ourselves mentally, physically, spiritually. We need to prepare holistically” said Tiglao.

Tiglao was Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 1st runner up before being crowned Miss World Philippines 2015 4th Princess.

Personally important to Tiglao are the children of Anak Bale Balayan whom she helps in her own ways. Tiglao said the children are also included in her short introductory video that is uploaded in Miss Intercontinental’s official Youtube channel.

“Gusto kong makilala sila sa buong mundo. Kasi sila ‘yung ‘pag tumugtog, masaya na. Kasama (sila) sa aking introductory video,” said Tiglao.

“(I want them to be known all over the world because it brings joy whenever they start playing their music. They are with me in my introductory video.)”

I am really proud of these kids. These send off is really for them,” she added.

The children of Anak Bale Balayan are from underprivileged families in Angeles City. Through Anak Bale Balayan, these children are given the opportunity to learn how to play traditional Filipino musical instruments for free while being taught of imparting Filipino values and preservation of Kapampangan culture.

Tiglao is also Miss Midori Clark 2018 1st runner up.
