Coffee, culture, and creativity collide as Kapampangan artist Gian Wong unveils his fresh designs for the Starbucks Philippines City Cards, highlighting three iconic destinations: Pampanga, Metro Manila, and Tagaytay.

Each limited-edition card is a visual story. Pampanga dazzles with its world-famous giant lanterns, paying tribute to the province’s heritage as the Christmas Capital of the Philippines. Metro Manila bursts with bold strokes and vibrant energy through various modes of transportation, mirroring the capital’s fast-paced rhythm. And Tagaytay radiates calm with lush greens and breezy skies, capturing the essence of chill escapes with the iconic Taal landscape.

“Each one is inspired by how these places make me feel — growing up in Pampanga, living in Manila, and visiting Tagaytay for some chill time with friends or family,” said Wong.

Known for his striking use of typography, expressive lettering, and fearless color, Wong has built a design style that bridges playfulness with emotion. This latest collaboration transforms everyday coffee runs into collectible cultural tokens, each available exclusively in its city with a ₱500 minimum load.

Born in 1996, Gian Wong now lives in Manila and works as a graphic designer alongside his career in tech. Through his personal creative hub Playhouse, he experiments with bold ideas and playful techniques that fuel his distinct artistic voice.

His artistry has earned recognition from global brands such as Instagram, Netflix, UNIQLO, KitKat, Levi’s, Toblerone, Hallmark, GCash, AquaFlask, and more.

With Starbucks, Wong captures not just places but the emotions and memories tied to them, making these cards a vibrant celebration of Filipino pride and identity.
