He’s shooting “Burgos” as the eldest son of Lorna Tolentino who plays Mrs. Edith Burgos, “Laureana” kasama si Nina Jose for Direk Mel Chionglo (an entry in the Sineng Pambansa) at “Silab” with Michelle Madrigal for Direk Joel Lamangan.
He’s also glad that he and co-star Jodi Sta. Maria are nominated as best actor and actress in the coming Golden Screen Awards of Enpress, Inc. for their crackerjack performances as a estranged couple in Israel in “Migrante”.
Allen has the distinction of appearing in socially relevant films. In 2011, he was in “Patikul” (about coffee farmers fighting for the education of their kids against rebels in Mindanao) and “Deadline” (about the killings of media people).
In 2010, he was in “Sigwa” (about the First Quarter Storm) and “Pink Halo Halo” (about the plight of soldiers fighting in Mindanao who leave their families behind).
In 2009, he did “Marino” (about the plight of seamen and their families) and “Dukot” (about political abductions for which he won a best actor award.)
