Punong Barangay Joseph PG Ponce and the Rotary Club of Clarkfield, led by President Jhune Angeles, have launched their “Filter First” program by installing a 4-stage drinking water filtration system at Gueco Elementary School in July.
A turn-over ceremony for the donated water filtration system was held today, August 6, at Gueco Elementary School, benefiting 3,301 learners and 94 educators.
In attendance were Kagawads Jennifer Bonifacio, Ednel Batac, Arnold Ibay, Pektus Nicdao, Grace Urbano-David, Louie Jake Manalastas, and Joel Ocop; Principal III Nenita Jorquia; special guest councilorable Atty. Jeselle Ann Vega-Dayrit; faculty members; Rotarians; PTA representatives; and student leaders.
This system will provide clean and potable water for the school’s students, educators, and parents, ensuring a healthier and safer environment for all. It ensures that the water is free from contaminants, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases. This initiative not only supports the health of students and staff but also alleviates the burden on families who previously had to provide safe drinking water for their children.
Additionally, the availability of clean water promotes better hygiene practices, contributing to a healthier learning environment.
Kap PG and the Rotary Club of Clarkfield’s generous donation underscores their commitment to enhancing community welfare and fostering a supportive educational environment.
