JAEN, Nueva Ecija — A barangay kagawad and a tanod were killed by riding-in-tandem suspects in Barangay Lambakin here at about 8:40 p.m. Friday.
Police identified the victims were as village councilman Florencio Cajucom and bantay bayan member Armando Pring, both of Barangay Santo Tomas Norte this municipality.
Investigation disclosed the victims were on board a single motorcycle when successively shot by the still unidentified suspects.
The councilman was reportedly engaged in reselling carabaos as his business.
Jaen police chief Major Baltazar Corpuz said they have yet to establish the motive behind the attack.
