ANGELES CITY — The city’s Kadiwa ni Kita at Ani continues to thrive, with total sales reaching ₱113,531.00 during its recent two-day run — marking the second highest sales performance since the program was launched in April 2024.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. thanked Angeleños for consistently supporting the monthly market, which aims to bring affordable basic goods closer to communities while supporting sustainable livelihood.

“This proves that when we empower our local producers and make essential goods accessible, communities respond with trust and support,” Mayor Lazatin shared. “We’ll continue to grow this program and reach even more Angeleños.”

Set up right at the Angeles City Hall grounds, the Kadiwa market featured 10 stalls manned by local farmers and vendors, including members of the Aeta community from Barangay Sapangbato, offering fresh fruits and vegetables directly to consumers.

Launched under the national Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. through the Department of Agriculture, the Angeles City version has steadily grown since its ₱36,000 sales during its first run last year. It reached ₱117,000 last month before this latest success.

The program is supervised by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, in coordination with the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) led by Irish Bonus-Llego and City Agriculture Office headed by Rea R. Dizon.
