BALANGA City – On the fourth “All Souls’ Day this Saturday after the body of a slain altar boy was found, his kin are still seeking justice for him. “Justice for Marion” was still posted on the tomb marker of Marion Joseph Ariem at the ossuary in the compound of the St. Joseph Cathedral here.
The boy’s parents and other relatives as well as relatives of those whose ashes were in the ossuary spent the whole day and late night during “All Saints’ Day”on Friday. The ossuary and other cemeteries in Bataan were overcrowded with people on Nov. 1 which is the common practice in the province. Only a few come back or visit the cemeteries the next day.
Candles in Marion’s tomb were still burning and fresh flowers still intact. Marion when slain was 14 years old and a second year student at the Bataan National High School, a public school in Balanga City.
The handsome young man dreamt of being a priest someday. He was reported missing on March 29, 2010 until his body was discovered the night of April 2, a Good Friday, at a forested area near a dry creek at the far portion of the school. He suffered stab wounds on neck, cheek, jaw and abdomen.
